I was going to begin this post with ” When one door closes, another opens.” It fits with my optimistic view of life. But these days, trying to be honest about my daily life is the prescription that auto-corrects my view.
So, how do you make God laugh?

Tell them your plans.
In a NUTshell I’m (still) trying to dissolve my company, Small Steps Go Places Inc.
At first, Small Steps was a vehicle for the design and sharing of the card game I invented (OPTION PLAY.)
Then, I used it to share encouragement and help teens build communication and organizational skills around the time of the pandemic. It’s been the backdrop for my newsletters and coaching.
Now, it’s time to pack it away (and find a home for the remaining copies of OPTION PLAY).
Awkward silence.
Envision the blank sheet for my next chapter (oh God, are you listening?)
How about doing something I enjoy almost as much as breathing?
Connecting with and learning about other people.
When I think about my Small Steps encounters with others, it was my listening to and asking others questions about themselves that enabled me to find joy, and them to find validation.
Not my homework.
Who likes homework??!
I like thinking about God laughing joyfully.
I’m wondering if you do, too.
